We had been advised that Microsoft was doing a re-write of the Budget Analysis Tool which is part of AX2012 R3 due to numerous problems with this tool.  Does anyone know the status of this and when the new version of this tool will be available?

A new version of the inquiry is expected to be released by the end of February.  It was developed to support financial dimension sets where optional and blank dimensions exist, full dimension sets included in the export to excel as well as general performance issues.  Users will be able to use either the existing inquiry or the new inquiry for a period of time using a parameter on the budgeting parameters form.

Thanks for the update.  That is good news.  Do you know if this will be made available via HOTFIX or through another method?

      Thanks,
      Ranny

      Hi Ranny,

Are you referring to the budget planning functionality within the Dynamics AX Budget module?

Does any of our public sector friends have an update on the Budget Analysis Tool that was supposed to be released the end of February?
