Has anyone been successful in extracting data and creating complex financial reports that pull from multiple data entities for AX7/D365?  If so, how have you accomplished?

      Hi Suzanne,

I spoke to my Project Manager at one of our D365 clients and after some research and trial/tribulations, our client actually went and purchased a connector product called Visual Insight, from a company called CData, which is able to connect to the Dynamics 365 entity structure, and download data through the entities to provide it to their 3rd party Business Intelligence and Data Analytics software to create reports against. Don’t quote me on the cost, but sounded like Visual Insight was pretty inexpensive. Long story short, it basically made the entities pull in like tables to be used in reports and performance was quite favorable. Hope that helps.

       Good luck!
