      I have a user that should be able to see the [Financial Dimension], but it does not show up when they get into this screen

      Retail > Inquiries > Retail Store TransactionsĀ
      Click on a sales Transaction, then click on Transactions > Sales Transaction.

      When the screen comes up it is missing the [Financial Dimensions] tab.

      Others with the same Roles can see that.Ā  Is there someplace else that needs this user setup to be able to view that tab?

      Hi Dan,
      if you are completely sure the users have the same security, then cleanup the specific users’ cache and usage data would be the next step

      Best,

      Yep – they lied.Ā  I set up a user in TEST that had the same Roles as the people I was told could see the Financial Dimensions – and no cigar.Ā Ā
      When I get in as sysadmin I see these Tab Lines:

      But the Financial dimensions tab does not show up with many other roles I tried – it has a pageActivate method assigned to it.
      public void pageActivated()
      {
      dimDefaultingController.pageActivated();
      super();
      }
      How do I find out what activates this tab so users that need to, can view the financial dimensions?

      Hi Dan,

      Looking at a standard form, the Tab has “Manual” as the needed permission (image 1).Ā Ā Ā  You can edit the form to add the control into one of the Permission Groups in the form (image 2).Ā  I did a search and the only security privilege hitting this form is RetailSalesTransactionView,Ā  related to the “View retail sales transactions” (images 3, 4 and 5).

      Looking at the image you might have some development on the form “RetailTransactionSalesTrans”. Because of this I would suggest two different small development options:

      1. You could either move the control into the specific permission group you want (Read to use the current permission) or any other if you are building a new security privilege for the form with a different access level.
      2. Change the access level on the tab to Read..Ā  that will give permission with the out-of-the-box security privileges.

      Thanks for the information.Ā  This will be useful – I will start my deep dive.Ā

      I did find out that nobody other than the sysAdmin’s can see this information.Ā  I shouldn’t have assumed that when the requester said that other’s can see the data, and wanted to know why he couldn’t – that other’s could in fact see the data.

      appreciate the knowledge influx.
