We are testing D365 upgrade version 10.0.25 and 10.0.26.  When trying to add a new lease into the Asset Leasing module, I am no longer able to add leases with a variable payment schedule.  I can enter a payment amount starting in the current accounting period, but when I add a payment schedule line with a start date in a future period, I now get an error message when I hit create schedules.  The error message is “Lease start date is incorrect”.  “Date xx/xx/xxxx is not in an open fiscal period”.  This is working in our current 10.0.24 version, as I am able to add leases with a back dated start date, future start date, or variable lease payment schedule.  Is anyone else experiencing this issue with the 10.0.25 and 10.0.26 versions?

Hi Paula,

I’ve just experienced the same issue you’ve described here. On 10.0.24 we were able to create Payment Schedules with references to future dates without issue.  We’ve come to want to adjust an existing lease whilst on 10.0.26 and we now get the same error above. 
Additionally, creating a new lease with payment schedules into the future also complains.

Did you ever get a solution to this?

Microsoft is supposed to be putting in a fix for 10.0.29, with a backport for 10.0.28.  Hopefully it will fix both the new adds and the adjustment errors.

I just contacted MS and there is a quality update for 10.0.26 and its fixed in .28 onwards as well. We’re testing it shortly.
