Hello, I have not seen a recent thread on this topic, and we are exploring options.  Specifically, we would like to enable approvals of invoices and purchase requisitions on mobile devices.  Is anyone doing this?  Recommendations are most appreciated!

You may want to look into doing the approvals via email.  That is what our consultants have suggested as we recently started investigating how to do timesheet and expense report approvals via mobile devices.  I would think the same would work in your situation for invoices and requisitions assuming you have workflows.

The items appearing in the online app and the mobile app are the same and appear at about the same time (workflow is workflow, so that’s always a bit of a delay).  Once the thing actually works, I can talk about any delay between approval on mobile and actual approval on the application.

If you have the AX connector for mobile devices setup you can use the Approvals app that is available to install on your mobile device or computer to manage approvals expenses, invoices, project budgets and timesheets. The app itself is free to download and has a disconnected practice mode you can use to get familiar with how it works overall.

Attached is the white paper on configuring the AX connector as well for reference.

We looked at the Approvals mobile app, but found that it was for Windows devices only.  No Android or iOS support which is the majority of our smartphone users.  Really wish Microsoft would support all the ecosystems on the mobile side.

We use a third party product Dyn2Go to approve Requsitions and (Less so) Timesheets through email. WE had to customize the email to add more project information and add the comment when a REQ is rejected.
Our users like it and it works well. They approve on their mobile device and in outlook. We have no issues.
When a user changes their network password they have to change it on their mobile device too by using the login URL.

Hi all,

So I actually got the mobile app installed for iPhone and Dynamics 365 Operations and it’s looking close, but when I actually do the approval or other workflow action on the device, it looks good, but it never actually shows as approved in the system or the mobile device.  Has anyone actually gotten this to work?
