      Under Org Admin -> set up -> Document management -> Active document tables

      Whats the purpose of setting up, please advise

      I have used this to force document handling to work differently than out of the box defaults for two primary areas:
      1) Force document handling to only be available for certain tables (requires ‘use active document tables’ to be set to yes in parameters)
      2) Allow attachment editing/adding to posted documents (for example, GL entries)

      Note that for #2, you don’t need to mark to use active document tables for it to work – you just mark the ‘enable always’ checkbox next to the table you are applying that setting to.?
