Good Day NAVUG, We have a basic workflow in place. NAV 2016. We’d like to have a two level approval: For example, Aaron, Bob, and Cathy enter sales orders. If approval is required: Send approval request to Dean. If Dean approves, send approval request to Erica.
I’ve been poring through documentation not sure how to proceed. The key is that Dean always gets the request first, then Erica. This is not dependent on sales order amount. (We have custom logic that triggers the approval requirement). thanks Adam

I think you need to set up an Approver Group and use the Sequence. The Approver that gets it first is sequence 1 and the one to get it second is sequence 2.
Let me know if this works!

Workflow User Groups can be a valuable tool that offers quite a bit of flexibility and functionality in the approval process for Workflows in NAV. A Workflow User Group is a list of users to approve requests generated by a Workflow.
