This is a quote from one of my favorite books, and I share it with you because far to often as women we start out with great dreams and goals for ourselves and as we add spouses, homes, children, bosses to our lives our self-sacrificing nature tends to put our dreams and goals on a back burner or worse we completely dispose of our dreams and goals to help all those mentioned previously and others, achieve theirs.

We must become bold for change as women, and recognize that our dreams, our ambitions, our goals are also important.  We must become deliberate about every breath we take and each moment of our days.  Why?  So we can make room in our crazy, busy lives for ourselves. 

Make time for a book like Failing Forward in your day, make time for a much needed hour of reflection, exercise, beauty, or social event, for yourself.  I have found that by being deliberate about my moments, my day, I have plenty of time for me.

Making time for the Women In Dynamics SIG, is easy because it is an opportunity to learn and grow as a women in business from some of the best in our business, and I have made it a point to schedule in both giving and receiving from this group of amazing women.  I have mentored younger women, older women and women my age and have also been mentored by the same.  There are days where I learn great lessons from my 18 year old daughter.  So I encourage you to get involved and give and receive from the Women In Dynamics SIG after all women thrive in a tribe, so why not let Women In Dynamics be your tribe!
