    VAT on Free Product on UK Orders

    Hello BC/NAV Friends!

    We have a situation with our UK company where we “sell” product to a customer at a 100% discount and we want to show the VAT amount on the order and invoice. We will be responsible for the VAT based on the item cost (not selling price). The customer will not pay anything. We would like this to somehow be automated from the order/invoice instead of having to manually create any journal entries.

    Has anyone else worked through this challenge?

    I’m interested to see the solutions people come up with. We have this exact same issue and we always have to manually record journal entries.
