Undo Receipt for multiple Posted Receipt lines with Jobs associated to them

Hi There,When i try to Undo Receipt for multiple lines that have Jobs associated to them I get the below error, if I try to undo line by line it works, if I try to undo multiple lines that has no Job associate with them it works as well.

Hi Waleed,In NAV, it has been my experience, that you cannot undo a receipt.Ā Your do a PRO to correct wrongĀ items received,Ā However, then another PO or GL entry isĀ created to receive the right items. Ā ?

Hi Tina,Thanks for your response. You can actually undo a receipt in NAV (as long as it’s not invoiced yet) and it works fine for one line or multiple lines, but if I undo multiple line that are Job associated, that’s when I get the error.

You can Undo a Receipt as long as you haven’t done ANYTHING with the received Items.Ā If you have full warehousing turned on, this will not work.——————————

Hi Jenifer,Yeah I see your point, in this case the Items has been consumed against a Job (at the time of Receipting the system creates Negative Adjustment for the items).
But that still doesn’t explain why I can undo receipt for one line and not multiple lines at the same time. If it was not a Job related receipt it would let me undo multiple lines.

As I said previously, the programming code doesnt look at multiple lines with jobs on them. This is linking multiple tables in the background. NAV doesnt know how to handle more than one line and one job at a time.

Hi Waleed,This is standard NAV behavior.Ā The code behind this functionality only works one-to-one (1 job, 1 undo receipt line).Ā For this to work with multiple lines that have jobs, your Partner would have to create a modification to the system.

Thanks Jennifer,Yeah I think that would be the way, was just wondering why if it’s job related it won’t let you, but if it’s not job related it would undo multiple lines just fine…
