Shipping SO (Sales Orders) from Multiple Locations with BC+D-Ship(dmsiworks.com)

We have 7 Stocking locations and have many sales orders that have to ship partial orders from several warehouses. The standard work flow of opening a Sales Order into the D-Ship “Package Worksheet” logically only shows the lines on the sales order that have the line item [Location Code] that matches the [Location Code] in the Sales Order’s Header. that’s fine for the first of many shipments but then we need to re-open the SO after the first shipment is posted, change the SO’s [Location Code] to the second [Location] perform at shipment and so on. We are looking for a solution that will allow us to release the SO for shipment to all warehouses concurrently, and NOT have to break up the SO in to many SO’s and try hold off invoicing until all shipments are done and create a single Invoice for the many SO that shipped out over a period of time of hours or days.

We are looking into beginning to solve this problem by automating the printing of PICK Tickets after the RELEASE of SO’s. We’d like to drop a time stamp on the SO header of Now +2 min’s for “time to print Picker(s). And have a back ground job that runs every 30 seconds or so, handled printing of PICKer’s to the designated Picker Printer at each warehouse. We will be adding the [SO Number] as a barcode to the Picker so the ware house working can scan the SO # into the field [Scan Here] because the warehouse may be at one of the “Additional” warehouses on the SO (Not the Location in the header) we thought that the barcode should include both the [Location Code], a delimiter char of some kind, and then the [Sales Order No] What I don’t know (yet) is if the [Scan Here] field has a way of parsing two values like that and if it already understands how to change from the default location in the header of the document and how to pass a preferred [Location] to ship from for a given shipment and Package(s).

Hey ISW, or ISW customer(s)/Partners, Does anyone have a solution to share for this?
To begin with, there is a configuration challenge with the standard report to printer mapping in PrintNode is to map USER LOGIN for each report they are printing to the printer they perfer.
and we need to have one service account print to all location’s with the same user mapped to 7 different location Picker printers.

Is there a PTE code unit that we can install to resolve these issues that someone would like to share?
(or a referral to an AppStore provider for and extension that accomplishes this feature request?

Warehouse shipments. Each location should have “Require Shipment” true. Then, Create Warehouse Shipment from a sales order splits the lines by location. Package Worksheet in Dynamic Ship works with warehouse shipment documents. Picks also work fine with warehouse shipments.

(I’ll try to remember to get back to you about AL to select printnode printer by location through published events in the InsightWorks implementation.)
