Is anyone else running in to an issue in Business Central v20.3, where users can’t delete certain orders getting an on page error of “User <Username> does not have the permission necessary to delete the item”?

The actual error using “Latest Error” says

      Error Text:
The format of the Date ‘<order number>’ does not match your device’s date settings. Make sure that the day, month, and year are in the correct order and use the correct separator (such as – or /). Alternatively, you can always use the format ‘yyyy-mm-dd’.”

      Error Callstack:

“Filter Tokens Impl.”(CodeUnit 58).ResolveDateFilterToken line 52 – System Application by Microsoft
“Filter Tokens Impl.”(CodeUnit 58).ResolveDateFilter line 16 – System Application by Microsoft
“Filter Tokens Impl.”(CodeUnit 58).ResolveFilter line 6 – System Application by Microsoft
“Filter Tokens Impl.”(CodeUnit 58).MakeFilterExpression line 23 – System Application by Microsoft
“Filter Tokens Impl.”(CodeUnit 58).MakeDateFilter line 3 – System Application by Microsoft
“Filter Tokens Impl.”(CodeUnit 58).DoMakeDateFilter line 2 – System Application by Microsoft
      “Filter Helper Triggers”(CodeUnit 2000000007).MakeDateFilter(Event) line 2

In the attached pictures, that is my user (a super user) attempting to delete one of the orders in question. Users (who have the permission to) are able to delete other orders without issue.

      Hi Andrew,

Different regions and languages in BC can have different formats, some may have – and some may use / as separators. Here’s an article that helps explain formatting dates in BC more.

Entering dates and times in Business Central – Business Central | Microsoft Docs

The bigger concern here would be the error in your screenshot is stating that you do not have the necessary permission to delete this. Are you a SUPER user in the system?
