      Hi,

Running into an strange issue. (NAV 2017)
There are 2 items in our DB without any inventory on hand.
The remaining qty under item ledger entries for these 2 item codes are zero.

But when print Item Valuation Report, the system shows up these 2 item codes with Remaining Qty as 0 (Zero) but Inventory Value is found.
      See the below pic

Upon browsing came to know that if item is using Costing Method as Average, then its complicated.
Yes, our company is using Costing Method as Average.

So need suggestions/Tips on how to make this Inventory Value as Zero for these 2 items.
I did tried Revaluation Journal – failed. Nothing is being pulled into it.
I ran Adjust Cost Item Entries batch job (these 2 items only) and went back to Revaluation Journal, still shows up nothing.

I also tried posting a positive adjustment for these 2 items – increased remaining qty from 0 to 2.
posted negative adjustment, applied back to the entry but when print valuation report, it still shows up the same result.

      Thank You All.

      Regards
      Khan

We also have issues with this report with average costing.
Are you filtering by location? If you run for all locations, the value should be correct not show the zero quantity items.Ā
We ran into issues wanting to filter by location. Then we would get a zero quantity but still show a value.Ā

      Do you have Jet Reports?Ā
We ended up building our own inventory valuation reports in Jet.

      Khan,

Pull the item ledger entries and figure out which entries don’t tie out. Then post a revaluation journal for the entries in question.
