The talent pool for NAV developers and application consultants has become extremely competitive and with the growth of NAV worldwide, this problem isn’t going away.  Does Microsoft or would Microsoft consider partnering with colleges, universities and other educational outlets to help train those interested in a career in this field?  If not, what advice would you give companies and NAV partners who struggle to find this talent?

Will the planning engine ever make suggestions to cut purchase orders off existing blanket purchase orders?

Will the planning engine ever account for item substitutions and suggest quicker supply by comparing two items that can be interchanged?

Would it be possible to add an option to the properties page for fields and objects so we can add a link to our own Help? That way we could link a PDF, Word document, Excel spreadsheet or a recorded video to a field or a page.

Can we get a word wrap editor for comments? Can we add check boxes to select which documents we want our comments to print on?

How are we going to migrate the data from our custom fields when a field gets turned into an extension?

Can you explain how Microsoft determines what features to work on and how these are prioritized? Are any of these ideas coming from Customers? It seems like there is no transparency as to what Microsoft is working on especially when new functionality gets released but are left unfinished.

 

All details about Cumulative Updates are only available via Partner Source. Why can’t it be available to Customers as well? It would be nice to know what has been fixed or added.
