Whenever we change the email address on a contact card, if there are only two contacts (one company, one person), both are overwritten for the email address.Ā When we reassign the Primary Contact on the customer card, that email address overwrites all contact cards regardless how many exist.Ā
How can we keep the email addresses autonomous on the Contact cards, that is, have any change not affect the other cards?Ā Ā

Go to Marketing Setup.Ā Under Inheritance – you will want to uncheck Communication Details, and any other information that you do not want carried over from Company type contact to Person type contacts.
