We implemented NAV 2013 R2 in September 2015. We process payroll in-house for ~350 employees with ~10% growth per year in ee’s. We have 3 different legal entities. We use some older payroll and time reporting systems now and it’s time to upgrade, and potentially integrate with NAV. We will continue to process payroll in-house.
1. Please provide feedback on the NAV payroll module. 2. Any other HRIS with strong NAV integration where hours can be reported to center AND job levels? 3. I’m thinking we need HRIS with SQL database on our server to allow for better security and reporting using Jet Professional. But, I’m sure there are advantages to cloud based HRIS too? Any thoughts?
I know this is broad topic- even short feedback is appreciated – I don’t need full story unless you want to share it all!
Thanks in advance – Tom Hilton

Take a look at Kenek VisionPayroll Serenic HCM — it’s not cheap, but has robust payroll functionality and light HRIS functionality.
The HRIS side of things has the basics (Applicants, Employees, Job Requisitions, and “metadata” around those things), but the payroll side is fully-functional, highly-configurable (albeit a bit on the complex side), and kept up-to-date with periodic regulatory updates, etc.
Edit: It’s unclear whether the name change to Kenek VisionPayroll applies just to Serenic Canada, so I’m striking-through my initial reference.
