We are on NAV 2018.Ā  We need a field on the Customer Card where we can put a Legacy Customer Account No (Customer No. from another system) for viewing only doesn’t need to do anything.Ā  We came across “Our Account No.” (field 14 on Customer table).Ā  My where-used tool isn’t working right now so does anyone know if this does anything or if it is just a field to hold some data?Ā  I do not see it referenced on the Customer Page at all and there is no tooltip that helps explain what this field is for.Ā  I did see a post referencing Codeunit 8623 (Create D365 RapidStart Package) and Page 6408 (Workflow – Customer Entity) neither of which we use.

      Hello Jason,

      It looks like a reference/reporting field.Ā  Microsoft’s documentation says:

      Our Account No. Field
Specifies your account number with the customer, if you have one. You can enter a maximum of 20 characters, both numbers and letters.

It is only used for reference as Lewis noted. What about using the Search Name field?

If you have EasySecurity, the field is used in the Codeunit as shown.

      Jason,

Nice talking with you again. The ‘Our Account No.’ field on the Customer Card is reference only. It is a great place to out your legacy Account No., as long as you are not using this in Customer Service/Collections where they enter the Stonewall Kitchens Account number at the Customer.

      Thanks and Stay Safe,
      Steve
