We are using mobile devices to “output” finished product from production orders.  Sometimes, there are mistakes in the Output and it needs tob e corrected in NAV (as an example, keying in 240 cases instead of 24).  Often, part of the inventory is already shipped.  When it is shipped, we are having trouble trying to do negative output in NAV to correct the problem, even when the production order is not finished.  Does anyone have a solution for this?

Have you tried unshipping the sales order, then a negative consumption and finally re-shipping the sales order? The problem is that NAV is trying to apply/connect the negative output entry to the original output entry and since it has been partially applied to a shipment, NAV halts and gives an error.

There might be other solutions depending upon your requirements.

      Hello Susan,

Have you tried to do the partial negative output? if no then please try it.

In given case, If 240 has been output instead of 24 and you have made the partial shipment of 24 (which is the case) then the Item ledger line still have remaining as 216 so you can do the negative output 216 and don’t forget to apply the ledger entry (Applies to) of original output while posting the negative adjustment.

Let me know, if you need any assistance for doing this.

      Regards,
