NAVUG Summit 2018 – already?

Yes, it’s February 19th, and we’ve already started planning Summit. Have a session you’d like to lead? A topic you want to see? Start looking for your thinking cap as our Request for Proposals opens March 1.Ā
If you’re thinking about “stepping up” and leading a session but are hesitant for whatever reason, we understand! Plenty of speakers started out that way (including me). We provide a complete program to help you prepare, which includes 5 hours of speaker training, personalized coaching from our Track Leaders, templates and examples, a comprehensive speaker guide including best practices, and more. You’ll enjoy and value the connections you make and the personal growth you’ll achieve, plus, we’ll provide you with a conference registration for leading a session.Ā If you have any questions about the process, please let me know.Ā
I look forward to seeing you in Phoenix!

We are interested in an in depth training in FLOW. Perhaps a pre conference class.

Flow would be a great topic.I really hope NAV functionality in Flow is updated before October. Currently, I am able to do very cool stuff with the connector for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Business edition. There are several neat triggers

And several actions to use
Meanwhile, the NAV connector has no triggers and is missing the “Execute action” action. šI think administrators need to understand the background of “Logic Apps” to really use Flow. Once I understood that I could use things like @not(contains()), I started making more functional workflow conditions. Also, using expressions makes the hastily-built connectors much more useful.

In addition to the speaker training that Mark mentioned, we can also match you up with another speaker if you don’t want to go it alone.Ā My first time presenting was with Dave Hatker several years ago. It was great to have someone to trade off with and made the experience much easier.Ā We look forward to hearing from you.?

Last year was my first year speaking at Summit – and it was awesome! Got great feedback that the info was helpful to others. So rewarding and fun for me. I hope to speak again this year.
I wanted to add a bit more “punch” about the support and tools that are offered. I was beyond IMPRESSED with the speaker training and support that was provided. It included a great timeline and steps for prep, sense of what to expect, expert tips and training for the actual speaking part and content development, predesigned templates and a wealth of people who are willing to help, answer questions or be an audience for a dry run. I’ve never spoken at an event that totally wrapped you in tools to make you a success. If you are even remotely considering stepping up know that this would be one of the best opportunities you could ever have. (Not to mention an incredibly friendly audience of our community members when it’s really show time!)
Make 2018 the year to do it!

I’d be happy to participate in a FLOW session as well.Ā We are using it for Fixed Asset Proposals and the approval process we go through.Ā Depending on the amount of the proposed project, we might have 3 layers of approvals to go through and Flow makes it easy, controlled and auditable.——————————
