      Hi,

We recently upgraded to NAV 2018 (October 2018). It was working fine…but recently whenever we minimize the NAV window, it just puts NAV into the non-responding mode and then eventually just closes it. It only happens when we minimize the window. if we leave it open and open another program and then go back to it, it works fine and does force exit NAV.

NAV 2018 on windows 10 environment. Doesn’t seem to be windows updates related. Anyone else experiencing such an issue? Any suggestions?

      Meenakshi

      Hi,

I think it might be either related to a corrupted personalization that may be causing this issue.

If you have some specific users who are facing it, please test with –

      1. Navigate to Role Center.
      2. Using Menu, select Customize and then select Reset-User-Specific settings.
      3. Reset all setting.
      4. Close and re-open client and see if it still occurs.

Thanks, Saurav!! That is a good point but the users that have experienced it don’t have any user specific personlization.. we try to add most of the personalization in configuration mode as those are more department specific than user specific. but will give that a try next time it happens.

One way we have been getting around for now is – either uninstall or re-install of NAV or in some cases just deleting and re-creating the configuration file.
      Thanks,
      Meenakshi

Same results… we have tried it with different resolutions with Citrix, without Citrix etc… so far, the only solution that works is reinstalling or updating the configuration file.

I have experienced something similar on NAV 2017 in a Windows 10 environment. What fixed it for me was turning off the “Fix apps that are blurry” option in settings. Search for “blurry” or go to Settings -> Display -> Advanced scaling settings and toggle off “Let Windows try to fix apps so they’re not blurry”. Windows will sometimes pop up a prompt asking you to turn this setting on and it is as easy as clicking apply.
