We are possibly looking to add line premiums to sales orders. Basically, just like line discounts only opposite. Unfortunately, NAV does not allow negative percentages in the line discount % field. Has anyone modified the system to allow this? Any reason why negative values wouldn’t calculate properly to allow for premiums?
The underlying story is that certain customers want to extend their terms beyond our standard net 30 day. If they go out to 60 days, we want the prices on our sales quotes to automatically include a 1.5% price premium. This need to be transparent to the customer. We’re looking at various options to accomplish this. Line “premiums” being one option.

As far as I know you cannot do something like this using standard sales price functionality.
I suggest looking into Item Charge Assignments if you need this to be transparent to the customer. Some folks are familiar with using item charge assignments on the purchase side of the business for things like allocating freight costs across all items on the receipt. You can set up item charge assignments on a sales order as well. You would need to manually calculate the percentage of the entire order to use as the price for the item charge line, then allocate that charge line across the sales items by value. If this sounds like a decent solution and you need more help with the setup let us know.
