Fairly up on the new license model in NAV 2016 (recently upgraded from NAV 2009 Classic) but I do have a few questions.
1) In NAV 2009 there was seperate licensing for NAS and Web Services. In NAV 2016 does NAS, Web Services and Backgroud sessions each use a normal user license? . I am guessing yes but only 1 license per named user no matterhwo many times you are in there. Here is my theoretical example: our NAS runs as a user called NASServiceUser and WebServices run on a separate service tier as a user called WebServiceUser. NAS will have 6 sessions (1 NAS that spawns 5 background sessions) in there all the time and WebServices could have 10 sessions or more in there at a time. Correct me if I am wrong but that would only take up 2 licenses (one for NASServiceUser and one for WebServiceUser correct?
2) I am having a hard time with the part of the licensing model where if someone logs into NAV for 5 seconds and then gets out that the license remains used for the next 30 minutes. Any legal way around this?
