Does anyone know whether the UPSLink setup for Lanham EShip in NAV 2018 applies the fuel surcharges to Ground and  Air shipments regardless whether they are domestic or international?

      #NAV 2018??

The answer is yes fuel surcharges are applied to both domestic and international ground and air shipments but it depends on the version of E-Ship as to where they come from. In E-Ship SE0.60.19 an “Intl Air Fuel Surcharge” field was added to UPSlink Setup. Starting E-Ship SE0.61, the fuel surcharges are automatically downloaded and stored in a separate table and this includes international air fuel. Prior to E-Ship SE0.60.19, both air and ground fuel surcharge fields in UPSlink Setup would also be applied to both air and ground for Domestic/Int’l shipment.

I have a follow-up question now. For either Nav 2018 or BC, are there further freight billing options other than published or negotiated rates?  To be more specific, are there choices to invoice our customers at either the published or company negotiated freight rates based on customer specific parameters. Examples would be published rate less 10%, negotiated rate + 20%, etc. We use both Fed Ex and UPS in E-Ship.

      Thanks, again!

Yes, at the Customer or Ship-To Address level, you can specify a markup of a fixed value or percent and this can be positive or negative.  This can also be done at the Shipping Agent or E-Ship Agent Service level if you want it to apply to all customers.

I don’t find that anywhere in NAV 2018 on the E-Ship tab, menus, or Shipping Setup to enable. Would you please point me to where this markup is located.

      Thank you!

From the Customer Card, click on the Navigate tab in the ribbon, then E-Ship, Shipping Charge Markup.  From the Ship-To Address list, click on the Navigate tab in the ribbon, then E-Ship, Shipping Charge Markups.  On the Shipping Agent card, look at the Charges fasttab.  The fields Additional Markup and Markup Type and Markup on Zero Shipping Cost should all be there.

      Thank you, again, Steve!

That is not in my ribbon, nor available to me in our production database. However, when I go into our test database, it’s there. It’s also on the ribbon for other staff. Odd since I have Super permissions, but now I have another tool to remember when I’m researching. I’ll ask our VAR to investigate.
