Lanham (eShip) E-Mail Error
Posted by Lewis Rosenberg on March 21, 2022 at 9:50 am-
Does anyone know what the cause of the following error is with Lanham’s E-Mail functionality?
We are getting this on Sales Credit Memos and BOLs. The Sales Order Confirmation E-Mails work perfectly.——————————

Hi Lewis,
Is the Sales Order Confirmation E-Mail also configured with an attachment? If so, that would indicate that the C:temp directory exists and the users have permissions to read/write to it. This would mean that the issue is specific to the configuration of the Sales Cr Memo Confirmation E-Mail.
Generally, this would mean that the report configured to run and be attached to the email didn’t have any output. I would review your E-Mail Rules to see which E-Mail Code is configured in the the Sales Cr Memo Conf E-Mail Code field. Then I would review that E-Mail to see which report is being attached by clicking on Attachments in the ribbon. I would then run that report, filtering on the Sales Cr. Memo that you are trying to send and see what the output of the report looks like.
If, for example, someone configured report 10074 (Sales Invoice) to be used as the attachment for the Sales Cr. Memo E-mail, the report would have no output and cause this error.
Let us know if this helps and/or if you found another cause for this problem.

Thank you, Kelly & Steve!
I got the BOL email working (I had to remove some refences to fields on Table 14000823 Bill Of Lading Line) because I was getting “Bill of Lading Line is not loaded.” Fortunately, I only needed header fields.
The Credit Memo remains a problem because:
(1) For Open/Released Credit Memos, there is an option to send a email, but the only report I can find that runs from tables 36 & 37 is the Sales Order Confirmation and that won’t print a credit memo.
(2) There are reports to print posted credit memos (R10073, R207), but there is no option to email on posted credit memos.
So for now I can send an email, but not with an attachment.

Lewis,You’re correct; you would either need to put the Credit Memo in the body of the email, or write a custom report to attach.

Lewis,Make sure you have an E-Mail format assigned to the Sales Cr. Memo and BOL fields on the Sales tab of the E-Mail Rule assigned to that Customer/Ship-to. Also check C:Temp on that machine and on the server and make sure the “Users” group has FULL control to it.
