?Does anyone know the process (if it is even possible) to create an EDI855 (Advanced PO Acknowledgment) with two ACK segments for one item?

      Example:
Item 1000 is ordered on and EDI850 with a quantity of 100
We can ship 80 and will backorder 20.

The EDI855 would look something like this example below where there are two ACK segments, the first indicating a quantity of 80 accepted (IA) and the second with a quantity of 20 backordered (IB).

      PO1*10000*100*EA*10.00**IN*11111*VN*191919*UP*019019019019~ PID*F****TEST ITEM 1 DESCRIPTION~ PO4*1*10*EA***5.6172*KG~ SAC*A*I530***100000*03*10*****02~ ACK*IA*80*EA*010*20180126~ ACK*IB*20*EA*010*20180201~

?We have done this by Mapping a Default ACK, and then the Code and Qty on the POA is for the Backorder Amount

This is the Default IA ACK Segment, I have this set to Skip if Qty to Ship is 0
ACK IAThis is the Other ACK Segment, this is set to skip if Qty Unshipped is 0
      ACK Other
We are using the Advance POA Document.

      ?Thanks, Justin!

      That was a great help!Ā

I assume that theĀ EDI OUT value for Quantity.Unshipped is updated after a shipment is posted.

?I’m not sure what release Lanham added this EDI Out in but the description shows “EDI Orig. Qty. – (QTS + Qty Shipped)”

We are on NAV 2016 with EDI SE0.60.12

      Justin,

What Lewis suggested is a custom built EDIOut. This requires you to change the codeunit to add this custom EDIOut.

EDIOuts are the kind of formula fields you can create by writing your on code using your developer license assuming you have one otherwise you would need to request your VAR or NAV consultant to make that change for you.

?Glad I saw this one – we are about to change our 855 from E_SLSPOA to the E_ADVPOA as we want to be able to use the Job Queue function on this.
I might ran into the same issue Lewis might be running into down the road.
For us so far we do not have any that we can ship partial and backorder the balance as most of our customers requires us to wait for the full qty to ship out or cancel the back order.

But it is good to know the issues other are having.
