?I have two trade partners that send us an EDI824 (Application Advice document).  For both trade partners, the document is mapped as a “I_SLSGEN” Navision Document and both have the General Alerts “Generic Document Received” checkbox check.  Everything works as expected for one trade partner and we receive alerts on the EDI Alert Worksheet.   For the other partner, we receive the following error when attempting to process the EDI inbox.

      EDI824 Error

Does anyone have an idea of what might be different between the two trade partner setups?

I have never seen this error, have you tried to run debugger to see where it is failing in the Code?  This may help track down the problem.

It’s been a while since I debugged Lanham EDI, but I want to say that you may have 2 fields in the file mapped to the Internal Doc. No. field.  Not until you process a file that contains values in both fields mapped to the same EDI field would you get the error. Just a thought, something to check.

, I’m just bringing the document in as an information document.  Nothing is mapped to NAV or EDI IN fields.

, the debugger screenshot is below along with a different error message that is occurring today after I deleted the files and requeued them:

      ??? Debugger EDI824

      Hi Lewis!
I have seen this in the past where the E.D.I. Setup table is missing the No. Series for the applicable document Lanham EDI is trying to create OR the “Last Internal Doc No.” is off, meaning it has been used before.  Compare the “Last Internal Doc No.” with what is the E.D.I. Receive Doc’s last used Internal Doc No. Are you able to import in ANY additional EDI files?  If not, I believe that might be the issue.?  Check that out and please report back what you find.  Also, please send the Lanham EDI version by going to E.D.I. Setup >> About EDI (it’s the SE0.xx.xx # that we need).?

This actually is not a new issue.  It has existed for a while now.  I can receive and process other documents and the Last Internal Doc No.in E.D.I. Setup appears to be correct.    EDI version SE0.06.03 on #NAV2013R2

What is the file format…X12 or a flat file?  Can you send me the file and an export of the map so I can try to duplicate the error?  That might be quicker..

?, Thank you so much for your help!

I had COMMAND lines for LINE BEGIN and LINE END in my map and Charlotte explained that these are not needed for an I_SLSGEN (generic document) map.

      Thanks for Posting the solution
I was leaning towards a Mapping issue.  I have worked with Charlotte a few times over the years, she is always a great help.

Yes, she was a great help.  I was sure it was something simple.  I reviewed all the settings and checkboxes on the partner card, document card, and template card, but I didn’t study the map much.  I should have compared it to my other TP map!!!?
