      Hello,

We are using the Loftware label system to integrate with NAV to print different Case labels. Although Loftware product looks good and prints Labels< I am finding it hard to work with the NAV integration part. Having difficulties printing in different/multiple languages as well as some accented characters and trademarks. They just don’t print accurately when data is coming in from NAV.

Does anyone have any experience working with it? What are other good add-ons or external products available for Label printing that Integrate well with NAV?

Thanks for your guidance in advance,
      Meenakshi

Great – then you might want to consider BarTender from Seagull Software. When we needed to integrate label printing, we were able to get a local reseller to do the customizations for us. Seagull also has better printer drivers than the printer manufacturers.

      Hi Meenakshi,

not sure how complex your requirements are, but we have solved all our labeling needs by using standard NAV report and free .NET library Zxing which supports all kinds of different barcode types. Availablat at Github : zxing/zxing

A simple example is here Creating QR Code in NAV 2016

In our solution we do not save the file every time, just use function to pass it back to the report

      Hope this helps!

      Hi Jan,

Our requirements are a little bit more complicated than just designing it in NAV.
For a simple one time design, you are right, design a NAV report would work best.

      Thanks,
      Meenakshi

Thanks, Greg, I will review that software. Do you have feedback on how easy it is for an end user to design a label in that software? I would like to get my IT team out of designing every label.  My ideal scenario would be to design templates for them and then users can copy those template and make other minor changes to label as needed.

I had the vendor that sold us Bar Tender design one label for each automotive customer. From then on I copied and modified additional labels as necessary. Hope that helps.

?We are using Bar Tender from Seagull – we train our users to use it so that they can design if need to or modify the template label IT created.

It is fairly easy for user to pickup once they are aware of what fields they need to modify.

?We integrated our packing slip with Bar Tend for one customer who needs to have a barcode on the packing slip to handle returns to their store.
What we did is export the order information and integrate the file into Bar Tender using the Database option and design the layout in Bar Tender and what information need to be in bar code format.

Our warehouse is modifying labels for a customer that always has different sku numbers on their orders to stick to the boxes.
