    Hello everyone,

I have a user onNAV2017 with Jet Reports getting the error message, “The provided NAV credential are not valid for this data source.”

We have tried EVERYTHING except the correct resolution to the problem, of course. 🙂

We have uninstalled Jet and NAV and reinstalled both, etc. We have imported local settings from another user whose Jet Reports works (we are using a local user profile). I have even loaded NAV and Jet on a new machine for myself and it worked. This user has an old laptop where Jet works, but on his new laptop, we cannot find a solution.

Interesting additional note that may or may not be related to the Jet issue. The NAV2017 Windows client kept crashing until we went in to the Compatibility settings on the desktop shortcut and changed the DPI settings.

Does the user have permissions for this data source with the user account he is logged in as in the Jet Admin Center?

We are using SQL Server Authentication so a SQL account is used on the Authenticate tab of the Data Source Settings.

We’ve are having the same issue. The users that are getting the error message recently received a new laptop but they were also migrated to Azure AD at the same time. We’re thinking the switch to Azure may be the issue. I didn’t find a solution searching in Jet Support. But maybe reaching out to support for help. If you find a solution, please let me know. If we get a solution, I’ll provide an update.
