  Does #NAV2017 track when an Item was created ??or modified and by whom?
  
  If not any suggestions?

  Hi Michael,
  
  You can turn on the change log to e.g. track when a user inserts a new item number into the item table which I think will accomplish what you are looking for. It will track who and when. The article in the link below provides additional details:
