Good day, hope you’re doing fine. I would like to ask assistance from you guys on the NAVISION 2017 particularly on the item card. We have activated the “Inventory Value Zero” on the Page Object ID 30. Upon clicking on the preview button, the INVENTORY VALUE ZERO field reflected in the Item Card. However, when I go back on the main page of object designer then RUN the page. The field was not reflected. I already compiled the object. Unlike in BUSINESS CENTRAL there was an option of INVENTORY VALUE ZERO. We really need this functionality. Please help.

Our goal is to monitor the quantity without any cost. One of the factors that we are considering was our company uniform and other consignment items. It was also mentioned in this article Inventory Value Zero in Microsoft Dynamics NAV | Olof Simren – Microsoft Dynamics NAV & 365 Business Central Blog. Can you please help us anybody from your development team?

Inventory value zero is just to keep this item off of your inventory value report….apparently.
If you want to use inventory items for uniforms and other expenses, so set them up as ‘non-inventory’ items and thus no inventory dollars are tracked. Everything booked to the item will be expensed based on your posting setups. Quantities are also not tracked and though you may see a unit cost it is not hitting your inventory.

Good day. Yes, exactly that’s what I am expected. However, we did not upgrade our NAVISION 2017 to 2018 or recent update where-in there was an option “NON-INVENTORY” due to customization on the item card. This was being handled by our partner way back during the implementation. I personally try to modify the item card which is exactly what we wanted to since this was being tested in our BUSINESS CENTRAL sandbox environment. How can we activate the field? Do you know any developer that I can talk to? I really appreciate your responses. Thank you.
