Mostly everyone probably knows about Account Schedules and Analysis Views for the G/L.  Did you know similar functionality exists for the Item Ledger called Inventory Analysis Reports?  They are very similar except Inventory Analysis Reports are a tiny bit more complicated because the Item Ledger has many different types unlike the G/L.  But there is some missing functionality that generally makes this unusable for our company.

My issue is when creating the Column Layout I really need to filter by Location Code but there is no such field that I can see.  In G/L Account Schedules Column Layouts there is Department Code Totaling and Project Code Totaling.  We use this a lot to show each Column as a specific Department or group of Departments on our Account schedules.  Why isn’t there Location Code Filtering (for Column layouts not lines) for the Inventory Analysis Reports?  Am I missing it?

Well Jason, it’s apples and oranges. Department and Project are dimensions and Location is not a dimension. If it was, you could filter by location.

Maybe you can try the “Inventory to G/L Reconcile” Report, it has the Breakdown by Location Options.
