to load the table and start making changes +3 minutes

in NAV2013R2 

Same table no changes , no mods = less than 3 seconds

Anybody have a clue as to why this would happen? I looked at 6 columns have disappeared so MS changed the table. 

I am being told that the same think happened in 2017 and MS took 17 update cycles to fix.

Good question.

There is a new field “Used in Ledger Entries” – CalcFormula Count(“G/L Entry” WHERE (Gen. Bus. Posting Group=FIELD(Gen. Bus. Posting Group),Gen. Prod. Posting Group=FIELD(Gen. Prod. Posting Group))). 

When checking keys on GL Entries, I don’t see one including these posting groups. Could this be the source of your problem?

The databases I checked don’t seem to have a performance issue, but maybe the volume of data isn’t comparable to yours.

Maybe one of the developers that monitors this forum can add their 2 cents.

Cynthia you definitely nailed it.  A couple of quick solutions:
1) Create a key in table 17 that is (Gen. Bus. Posting Group, Gen. Prod. Posting Group)
or
2) If you do not care about this field (you probably do not need it, seems like a nice to have only) simply remove it from Page 314 “General Posting Setup” and Page 395 “General Posting Setup Card”. You can try just hiding it on these pages but pretty sure the field will still calculate if you do this.

I would go with #2.
