Friday Date Trivia
Posted by David Wiser on February 16, 2018 at 11:34 am-
While experimenting with date ranges this morning I came across an oddity I cannot decipher.Ā Using a workdate of today (Friday, 2/16/18), I type “SA-1” in a date field which NAV translated as 1/6/18.Ā Anyone care to explain.Ā This one has me stumped.

Solved my own question (which may come in handy to some).Ā “SA” is the code for Saturday.Ā Following “SA” with a number (SA3) or including the dash (SA-3) results in what Saturday of the year that is.Ā So, SA3 returns the third Saturday of the year (1/20/18).Ā SA1 (or SA-1) results in the first Saturday of the year (1/6/18).
Will have to think how this can help me.

Hi Dave,Entering a date as a weekday followed by a week number, for example, SA1 or SA-1 will result inĀ Saturday in week 1.
SA-1-19 will result in Saturday in Week 1 of Year 2019.——————————
