::A few of our favorites:
- Dimension Manager for NAV: While this isn’t needed anymore since Business Central lets you update dimensions for posted transactions, historically, the only way of updating dimensions was using an add-on like this. We decided to overhaul the dimension setup in our environment, and this was a great app to use.
- Shop Floor by InsightWorks: We used to have an intern whose sole job was to take the time cards from a 3rd party system and post capacity ledger entries against production orders to properly cost our items, and then provide documentation that they were properly reconciled…. needless to say, this app paid for itself.
- Continia Expense Management: I’ve written a few articles and blog posts about this one. It’s probably saved us the most money in the long run. Historically, we used Concur, and it took a team of 3-4 people to transpose the data from Concur to BC after it went through a manual review process. With Continia, everything is done in real-time, and all reviews and approvals are digital. Everyone in our company is shocked at how ‘easy’ it is to do expense reports now.
I’ll also add that the support from Continia and InsightWorks is incredible. We’ve had a few issues, and they are both very responsive.
