      Hi,

We are operating multiple companies in two databases and want to make it very clear to our users which company they are in. Does anyone have any recommendations as to the best way to indicate on-screen, which company is being used, so it is unmistakable?

      All input gratefully received.
      Lars.

In 2015, 2016 and 2017 you can change the company name to have a color around it. Check out Company Information and the System Indicator Style field. Changing this value from Standard to Accent# will change the background color around the company name. It’s a great visual and super handy!

      Hi Lars!

You also indicated different databases. Kim’s solution is great for multiple companies within the same database but for multiple databases, you can create a different shortcut for each database.

The color background for company’ name also works in 2013.

?I am not a developer so I don’t know the effort required to make this happen, but changing the color scheme (the color of menu bars), like you can in Outlook, based on the company colors could be an option.  To be clear, I am just suggesting if one logo is dominated by a certain color use that one, not that every feature/function is driven by multiple, new custom colors.  A background color change may do it too.
