Deleting Posted Sales Shipments

    Hi All!

We are using BC14 on premise and my Shipping team has informed that it can take quite a while to assign a posted sales shipment to a (Lanham eShip) Bill of Lading. We believe this is due to the large history that we have. Our posted sales shipments date back to the start of 2006.

Does anyone see any problems deleting old posted sales shipments? Unfortunately, there is no tool to do this in batch, so we may need to develop a report or codeunit to do this.

All thoughts and comments are welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hey Lewis,

If you don’t need the historical records to be preserved, then it might be okay to delete them. I recommend using https://stati-cal.com/PrismForCAL to see what object/code use the posted shipment lines and if they are important.

You can delete the historical data but the only check mark I will say is to make sure we don’t have the corresponding open sales order not invoiced yet.
