I was so excited to learn that there are now alternative posting dates for deferrals, allowing us to have protections from opening up posting date way into the future.  Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to work!?  I set the individual user regular dates and deferral dates and she can’t post deferrals, I tried setting just the GL Setup deferral dates and she couldn’t post and I tried setting both the user and the G/L dates and she couldn’t post.  Am I missing something?  Has anyone else had this issue or gotten it to work?

It seems to be working for me.  I found that the allowed dates work just like the posting dates.  If you leave the deferral dates blank on the GL Setup, the deferral dates are wide open and need to be restricted on the User Setup page.  I did get several error during testing when the period was not open enough to cover the deferral period, but after adjusting the deferral dates appropriately, it seemed to work.  Can you provide an example of the date setup you are using?
