Addendum: Adding the hyphen/minus sign before some of these variables will be “beginning of”, whereas omitting it will be “end of”.Example:
CM –> 01/31/17
-CM –> 01/01/17So you can use these in a formula, such as:
-CM..1M would yield 01/01/17..02/28/17Aside from payment terms, these come in handy for adding dynamic Date Filters on views that you can save. Some clients, for example, might save a YTD view of the Chart of Accounts with -CY..T

You may also use M, T, W, TH, or F for Monday of the current work week, Tuesday of the current work week and so forth.

Interesting tidbit when using date codes for Sunday. You can type in an “S” to get the Sunday date associated with the current work date. But when you do this, you will get the upcoming Sunday and not the past Sunday. This is because NAV interprets the week as Monday to Sunday, not Sunday to Saturday. I believe the reason has to do with NAV’s European origins. Weeks in the USA are normally viewed as Sunday to Saturday, but in Europe, weeks are normally viewed as Monday to Sunday. Good for a trivia question.
From Dave, the keeper of useless knowledge. š

We are having problems with our forecasting because Nav defines the week as Monday to Sunday.Ā Our forecasting software defines the week as Sunday to Saturday.Ā Are you aware of any way to modify this behavior in Nav?

I was determined to figure this out.Ā Using the current date of Friday, 2/16/18:
Ā – Type “WEEK” will give you 2/12/18..2/18/18 (which is Monday to Sunday of the current week).
Ā – Type “WEEK-1D” will give you 2/11/18..2/17/18 (Sunday to Saturday as you desire).How this works for you .

With PlannerOne, there are essentially “two” calendars.Ā The “Stand-by Calendar” and the various capacity calendars for each Work/Machine Center.Ā PlannerOne will utilize the capacity calendars of each Work/Machine Center to display their available working time, as well as their non-working time.Ā It then schedules the Production Order Operations according to those calendars.
There are a few PlannerOne setup fields that use Date Formulas, so let me know if there is a specific field you are trying to update.

I think I’m on the wrong track with Planner One.Ā Here’s what’s happening.Ā In our forecasting software we entered 100,000 pieces per monthĀ of a test partĀ for April, May, and June.Ā This equates to 20,000 pcs each week for April, 25,000 pcs each week for May, and 25,000 pcs for each week in June.Ā Ā However, when it is imported into Nav, the monthly view in Nav shows 80,000 pcs for April, 95,000 pcs for May, and 100,000 pcs forĀ June, and 25,000 pcs for July.Ā If I can manipulate one of the calendars within Nav, which calendar would that be?Ā Thank you.——————————

You can use P1, P2….P12 for date periods as well.
P1= 1/1/18..1/31/18
P2=2/1/18..2/28/18——————————
