We have occasionally received a “CONSISTENT function” error message when trying to post an invoice against a Purchase Order.Ā  The problem arises when we record a single receipt of inventory in NAV (NAV 2018) of an item, but the vendor bills us on more than one invoice (apparently the vendor treated this as 2 separate shipments, but we recorded it all as one receipt).Ā  If we enter a Quantity to Receive that matches the quantity of the invoice we want to post (less than the total quantity received), we get the error message.Ā  When we preview the G/L entry, we see that it is out of balance because the Accounts Payable amount reflects the total quantity received.Ā  Does NAV allow only 1 invoice per receiving document?Ā  Our workaround has been to post the entire receipt as a single invoice, combining the vendor invoice numbers into one number.Ā  I would like to hear how other NAV users have handled this situation.

      Hi Alan,

Have you tried using Purchase Invoice and Get receipt lines function?

      Regards,

I have not used Purchase Invoices, Get receipt lines.Ā  We may try that, the next time we get the CONSISTENT error message.
We have always posted the invoices from the Purchase Order screen.
      Thank you.
