Is it possible to change the default browser NAV uses?Ā  We have both IE and Chrome on our machine and we have set Chrome as our machine default browser but NAV always opens IE.

It should be using your default browser.Ā  Mine does and I have Chrome as the default.Ā  You might need to check the following settings in your windows environment to make sure that html addresses use Chrome:

NAV doesn’t decide the default browser – that is set in Windows as Dave Wiser describes.

      I replied too quickly.Ā  Now that I’ve re-read your message, I have a question.

When you say “NAV always opens IE,” what is NAV trying to open? Is it a particular kind of document like a PDF?

Dave’s answer, and my previous answer, assumed that NAV is trying to open a regular web URL. If NAV is opening something different than that, something else could be going on (like custom NAV code).

What version of NAV are you using?

In older versions (2009) NAV definitely forces IE when calling an htlm link from code.
