I’m reading here how to cancel a posted purchase invoice-

Amend or Cancel Unpaid Purchase Invoices – Dynamics NAV App

I can find the cancel button if I customize the ribbon, but no matter where I put it, if disappears after I click ok and go back to the invoice. 

We had a user receive a quantity against the wrong line of a multi-line PO. We just need to undo that and apply it to the correct line. Any thoughts?

Has that receipt been invoiced?  If not, you can UNDO the receipt line.  Find and open the Posted Receipt document.  Select the line to reverse, and use the FUNCTIONS dropdown menu and select UNDO RECEIPT.

If the receipt has been posted, older versions have a create corrective credit function and newer versions (BC) have CORRECT and CANCEL functions in the CORRECT menu.
