We are on NAV 2018 and have about 50 customers who still want a paper invoice mailed to them. I’m brainstorming ideas to trigger Accounting when there’s an invoice posted for one of these customers so they can manually print the invoice.

Your ideas are appreciated.

Have you looked into Document Sending Profiles? You can create a profile for printing also.

This will work if you use the Document Sending Profile on the customer. You may also want to configure Document Layouts for the Customer.

Hi Noreen,

You could set up the Job queue to have any Posted Sales Invoices that have a customer Document Sending Profile of “Print”, print overnight.  This would require setting the Document Sending Profile on those 50 Customers, to Print.  Print would need to be setup inside the Document Sending Profile first.  This may require help from your Partner.

I will second Zetadocs.  We use it for exactly what the poster is looking for.  We create rules for the customers who want paper invoices and those with those rules will print a physical invoice during the invoicing batch.  All others go out over email.
