Our operations team is looking for a NAV software solution for production labor tracking. 

This is how our Director of Operations envisions it:
The process that I have seen work in the past is that the operator scans their badge (employee number), scan the production order number, and the operation that they are working on.  When they are complete or going to break they scan out of the job and report quantity completed.

Does such a solution exist? I am open to possibilities. Thanks in advance!

I agree with John.  and his team do a great job.  If you need to collect competitive bids there are a few others out there.  Payroll providers have some tools that integrate well too.  I believe ADP has one.

We use Manufacturing Time Entry from Cost Control to accomplish this. In general it has been a fine solution, although we had to do some small modifications to fit our environment.
