Account Schedules
Posted by Sara Sharkey on November 13, 2019 at 5:52 pm-
I am in the process of building out our balance sheet in the account schedule area and am having issues with pulling the previous fiscal year information.Ā The current year MTD and YTD information is pulling correctly, but the Previous MTD and Previous YTD information is not.Ā When drilling down, I see that these two areas are only pulling information through 01.31.2018, not through the current date of the previous year.Ā Ā
My comparison period formula shows as:Ā -1FY[1..CP]
Any information on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Do you close accounting periods?Ā Ā is there a possibility that you close by month and stopped at 1/31/18?——————————

We close every month- that process is continual, so I don’t believe that is the issue.

The formula for we use for PY MTD is -1FY[CP]…it looks like you have the prior YTD in both lines and our Prior Year YTD is Net Change not Bal @ date.Ā Here is our setup:Ā?

Hi JIllian–
I changed our setup to mimic yours, but it created even more issues.Ā Now my prior year-to-date columns are pulling the same information as my year-to-date columns, with the column that I left blank calculating numbers from an unknown area.
I selected a random amounts in the MTD and YTD columns to drill down on, and it shows me that the filter is pulling dates from 01/01/2019 through 12/31/9999.Ā The PMTD and PYTD columns are now pulling information from 01/01/2018 through 01/31/2018.
Thanks for trying to help!

Well, that stinks, sorry! The one other thing that comes to mind is the schedules are really picky about the date filter when you do the overview.Ā Best of luck!!——————————

Sara,
Check and make sure your Accounting Periods are created. Getting that ’12/31/9999′ dateĀ will often happen when your periods don’t exist. ?——————————
