We use Lanham Email inside Nav 2009 R2 to send automatic order confirmations, ship notices, invoices, etc via Outlook 2010 and on-premise Exchange server. We’re moving to Outlook 365 and have learned this isn’t expected to work because of 32-bit / 64-bit incompatibilities. Does anyone know a workaround? Thank you!

We switched to 365 in April of this year and also use Lanham E-mail…and have had no issues and did not need to make any changes it was seamless.

We are NAV 15, and use the Job Queue to auto batch invoices (nightly) and statement (weekly) to our customers.  Send out order confirmations, packing slips and bol’s as well.

We previously had an on prem exchange server and migrated over to 365, and nothing changed with our NAV or Email work flows.

Thank you, Holly.  We know Lanham email works with 2013 forward. We’re looking for workaround options using NAV 2009  until we upgrade.

      Noreen,
Yes, NAV 2009 sending e-mails to Office 365 through Outlook 2010 is an issue. I would recommend looking at switching the Lanham E-mail integration to SMTP instead of Outlook. While I have not specifically tested Office 365 and 2009 together using SMTP, I don’t see a reason it wouldn’t work. NAV2009 didn’t support SMTP with secure connections and custom port numbering so you would need to configure a SMTP relay in office 365, this is not required in NAV 2013+.

Here is a link about office 365 SMTP setup options:
