eContact* Tables in GP company Databases – What product uses these tables?

Does anyone recognize these tables? I am doing some cleanup research and don’t have any notes on these tables in several of the GP company databases.

I couldn’t find anything. Are they being updated now? If so, you can use SQL Profile to create a trace to see what process is updating the records. What modules are listed in Dynamics.set?

They are not being updated and haven’t any newer data in the last several years. Most data is clustered around 2009-2010.
Likely they are orphan tables and data, probably from something installed on GP10 or earlier and since removed. Before my time here at Ascend for sure. They are not associated with any existing module in our Dynamics.set.
I just wanted to do my due diligence before making the decision to clean them. My GP notes go back quite a ways also and I can’t find any mention of them either.

Could always just rename the tables or restrict security that way any use of the table would become obvious and easily reversible. Then once you’re satisfied that they’re no longer used drop the buggers. I also feel like ‘s power tools has something to verify tables based on the current set file. Would be a quick way to check.?

is correct GP Power Tools (which you have) can help.
If the product is installed, the Resource Information window (in table mode) will identify the product from the table’s physical name.
The Database Validation?? window will identify any tables in the system that cannot be matched to installed products, thus confirming that they are not being used by any dexterity dictionaries.
Finally, a quick internet search found the article below. Looks like eContact is a MC2Visions product.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen it, but MC2 used to have a product called eContact that sync’d GP contacts with Outlook. Might be related to that.——————————
