We are have setup a new Bin in 1 of our sites in a Multi-Bin environment. We are now trying to figure out how to add that bin to the Item Site Default Bin list without having to update each item individually.

Is there a script to update the IV00117 table for all items for the new bin in our site or a utility we can run.

      Any suggestions are appreciated.

If no script available, have you looked into using macro? You should be able to use macro under Item Quantity Maintenance window to assign Bins.——————————————-

      Karsten,
You could use the Table Import function.Ā  I don’t normally recommend this tool because it does no accounting validation, it just pushes data into the table.Ā  But when you’re looking at a table that only has 3 fields it’s not as worrisome.Ā  That said, you should definitely try this in a test company before doing it your live company. Ā Ā

The easiest way to navigate to it is to open the Site Bin Maintenance window, then go to ToolsIntegrateTable Import.Ā  Choose Site Bin Master and you’ll get the Table Definition Import Window.Ā  Once you enter a definition id, you’ll see the fields below.Ā  You can browse out to an Excel spreadsheet, then map the fields. Ā  Note that this import will bring in the header info in the spreadsheet, so you really need to remove the headers.

Again, run this in test first.
      Thanks
      Windi
