We just went live with D365 recently. I am attempting to create a report that links purchase order lines to their source purchase requisition. If I look at the target fields for the purchase order lines entity in data management, there is aĀ PURCHASEREQUISITIONID field. If I use the table browser, there is a PurchReqID field which contains theĀ PURCHASEREQUISITIONID. However, if I export the purchase order line entity, or pull it into Excel using the D365 add-in, or pull it into Power BI, theĀ PURCHASEREQUISITIONID field is not available. Is there something I am missing or that I can do to get theĀ PURCHASEREQUISITIONID field into Excel or Power BI?

      Thomas,

If you just want to export to Excel you can personalize the Open purchase order lines form to add in the purchase requisition and then export to excel (you’ll have to remove the filter on the line status to get all purchase order lines).Ā  The best option would be to extend the staging table to include the field and then you can create the mapping to the target table and use Data Management to get the data out.

      Thanks,

      Jonathan,
Thanks for your reply. However, I am trying to automate the report so it can be run on demand by management. So a export wouldn’t work for this. There is another report that I am working on that will only be needed monthly, so I can do exports for that one. Regarding the staging table, it already shows the purchase request ID in the list of target fields, but for some reason that field isn’t included when I do an export. If I use the table browser with the PurchLine entity, the purchase requisition ID is included. It’s odd that it is available there but isn’t included when using data management export.

The reason that it’s not showing up in the export is that while the field is in the data entity table it’s not mapped in the entity mapping.Ā  You’ll have to extend the staging table and the entity to have it show up in the mapping.Ā  Your partner should be able to help you do this quickly.
