      Hi all,

I’ve been working on posting budget register entries in D365FO for several days now, and no sooner do I get done than someone sends me a revision. Is there a way to post those for future periods without going into the ledger calendar and setting the future periods I need to post to to “open”? We’re in period 1, so I’m having to open up to 11 months, post changes and put those months back on hold in every legal entity I need to update.

There has to be an easier way.

      Hello,

No, this makes me mad too but unfortunately there is no other way. The posting budget entries goes through the same validation as posting a regular entry hence that’s why the period needs to be open. I have decided to leave the budget entries as unposted and then when running reports in financial reports, I select to view both posted and unposted so the budget will show up. Not the best workaround but could work.
