We have products with Costing Method of Standard Cost defined on the Item Model Group.Ā  We are able to mark these products when creating a PO from a SO record.Ā  However in cases where we must “break” that marking, we are not able to “re-mark” a new PO Line to that original SO line.Ā  Anyone else encounter, or have any feedback?
      Thanks.

      Hi Mike –Ā

Marking is not applicable to Standard Costing.

See shot below from the AX2009 Standard Cost Conversion guide. I do not believe the Marking prohibition has changed in subsequent releases.

      Thanks…..Dave

We had the same problem.Ā  Unfortunately Microsoft does not support manual marking of standard cost items so this required a code modification.

Table TmpInventTransMark method packTmpMark sets an includeAll variable:
which gets set to false by Class InventModelType_StdCost method isSettledĀ

We handled this both is AX2012 and D365FO by added a pre event handler for “packTmpMark” and saving a flag the we want to override the isSettled method then add aĀ  post event handler for “isSettled” that checks the flag if Yes then set the return to true and turn off the flag.
